Resources & Job Aids: Getting Access to iOU
iOU is a custom software application used to enter, review, approve, and track reimbursements, advances, petty cash, and other check request transactions.
On this page:
Gain Access to iOU
To gain access to iOU, you must satisfy two requirements:
- Take and pass an online test
- The online test is a required element of the FIN-0460: iOU Reimbursement & Advances class.
- Prior to taking the online test, we recommend that you:
- Attend instructor-led training (as offered), or
- Take the web-based training class.
- Receive self-service privilege "iOU Public" in Authority Manager
Check with your manager to find out who can grant you the "iOU Public" self service privilege using the Authority Manager application.
Note: You must register for FIN-0460: iOU Reimbursement & Advances instructor-led or web-based training in STARS (Stanford Training and Registration System) in order to take the online test element of the class. When you complete and submit the online test, results will be immediately posted to STARS.
Once both of these conditions are met, an automated nightly process will assign you Oracle responsibility "SU iOU Public," giving you access to the iOU system from the main Oracle home page.
Browser Requirements
To verify which browsers are authorized for the iOU application, review Administrative System Browser Requirements at: http://www.stanford.edu/services/ess/adminapps/browsers.html.
