Quick Steps: Update Phone and Address Information

Who does this?  Stanford Employees

When?  Employees move or change their home phone number or address to ensure receipt of benefits or payroll information (i.e. W-2 Statements) mailed to their home address. Employees change work locations to ensure receipt of hard copy "live" Payroll checks or direct deposit check advice notices.

How?  By maintaining directory information in StanfordYou

 

Update Phone and Address Information (6 steps)

step 1

Launch the StanfordYou web site:

  1. Click https://stanfordyou.stanford.edu/.
  2. Enter your SUNet ID and password as prompt.
  3. Click the link on the Web Authentication window to continue.

Click Maintain Directory Information link.

Update home phone or address as required:

  1. Click change… link next to Home Phone & Addresses section.
  2. Enter updated phone and address information.
Note:  Hard copy W-2 Statements are mailed to employees home address.

Update work phone or address as required:

  1. Click change… link next to Stanford Affiliation section.
  2. Enter updated work phone(s), fax and/or work address information.

Update ID Mail Code (inter-department mail code) as required:

  1. Click change... link next to SU Contact Info section.
  2. Enter new ID Mail Code.
Note:  Hard copy "live" Payroll checks and Pay check Advice Notices are distributed to employees ID Mail Code.

Click Save button at the bottom of the form to save your changes.

What happens next?

  • Information saved in StanfordYou updates the PeopleSoft Human Resources database on a nightly basis.
  • To change your legal name, you will need to contact your department's Human Resource Manager to make the change in the system. You can, however, set your preferred name in the Name & ID section of StanfordYou.
  • The StanfordYou website is also used to maintain email account information, change your SUNet password, maintain your StanfordWho and PeopleSoft HR directory information, and maintain your emergency contact information
